During the way to Sounion we will drive along the beautiful coastal line of Athens. We will stop at the marvelous Lake of Vouliagmeni, a small brackish-water lake which functions as a year-round spa thanks to its constant and comfortable water temperature (at about 24ºCelsius).

Cape Sounion is noted for its Temple of Poseidon, one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens. Its remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea. The view here is tremendous, and its obvious why this spot of land was chosen as a site where people could worship the god of the sea.
